Jasmine Scholz was born in January, 2003 to Justin and Sharon Scholz. Jasmine has lived in Wangaratta since they were 5 years old.
Growing up, Jasmine lived with her parents on a 28 acre property Mount Glenrowan, North East Victoria. The property had spectacular views of the Victorian Alpine area and mount Buffalo in particular.
When Jasmine was six, the family built a new home in Wangaratta. It was close to Appin Park Primary School which Jasmine attended.
As a child, Jasmine was adventurous and enthusiastic generally. They had a passion for animals and nature. They loved fantasy and mythological creatures (especially dragons).
As Jasmine aged, they started to take a greater interest in music and started to teach herself to play guitar. This eventually progressed into her Aunt Sonya and Uncle Dave buying a Yamaha guitar for her 13th birthday. She took up singing lessons and has worked with a range of teachers such as Céline Forster, Crystal Valley Music, Paris Zachariou, Ali Comensoli, and DHPC.
In December 2015 Jasmine attended Taylor Swift’s 1989 tour and has been passionate about live performances ever since. Jaz has gained inspiration from musicians of many different genres and styles. Many have shaped Jasmine’s musical style and helped Jaz develop a stage presence.
